How It Happened
Colleen Farabaugh and Kathryn McKenzie won events as the Barons fell in Presidents' Athletics Conference (PAC) action to Westminster by a score of 191-69.
Colleen Farabaugh had excellent outing picked up a win in the 200 Yard Butterfly, finishing with the fourth best time in the PAC with a time of 2:27.98. She also won the 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:28.44. Farabaugh took part in Franciscan's 200 Yard Medley Relay, finishing her backstroke in 31:51. Finally Farabaugh finished second in the 500 Yard Freestyle finishing in a time of 5:51.45. Freshman Kathryn McKenzie took first in the 100 Yard Butterfly, finishing with a time of 1:09.58. McKenzie also took third in the 1000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 12:22.44.
Sarah Kelty set a school record in the third leg of the 200 Yard Medley, finishing her 50 Yard Butterfly in 28.75. Kelty took second in the 100 Yard Buttefly. Melia Domingo took third for the Barons in the 100 Yard Breaststroke and the 200 Yard Breaststroke. Evelyn Nick finished third 50 Yard freestyle and then took fourth in the 100 Yard Freestyle. Hana Regenauer, Grace Shemaker, Leah Schaefer, and Brianna Sauselen scored for the Barons.

- Colleen Farabaugh picked up a win in the 200 Yard Butterfly, finishing with the fourth best time in the PAC with a time of 2:27.98. Farabaugh also won the 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:28.44

The Lady Barons return to PAC action at Grove City on Friday February 12th at 6:00 p.m. Franciscan and Grove City have never squared off in swimming before, but they will make the journey to Grove City, Pa. twice this year. The Wolverines will be hosting the PAC Championships as well in the first week of March. Grove City won the PAC Championship in 2019-20 by racking up 972 team points. This will be a good test for the Lady Barons as they are halfway done with their 2020-21 season.
