How It Happened

The Lady Barons would make the short trip over to Bethany for an 11:30 tip in their first ever PAC Tournament Appearance. The Bison would defeat the Lady Barons, as an early decicit proved to be too much for the Lady Barons to overcome.

Sophie LaRose would connect on a pair of free throws to opening up this game's scoring, but the Bison would respond with a 10-0 run over the next four minutes to force Head Coach Sean Kirk use his first timeout. The Bison would add a pair of three pointers, before LaRose wold add her first field goal with a strong layup. The Bison would go on to make five three pointers in the first quarter to take a 21-4 lead into the second quarter.

The Bison would open up the second quarter on an 8-0 run, but Natalie Conner would snap the run, by connecting on her first three pointer of the night. Conner would add another three pointer with under five minutes to play in the half. Clare McGahan would add her first bucket of the day with a three pointer, but the Bison would take a 43-13 lead into the break.

The Lady Barons would battle hard in the second half. McGahan would open up the scoring for the Lady Barons in the second half with a made jumper. Victoria Unnerstall and Paige Kendall would score their first bucket this quarter, as the Franciscan offense would have their best quarter yet.

The Lady Barons would continue to improve, and go out and win the fourth quarter. Isabel Atendido would make her first three pointer in the opening minutes. Freshman guard Ashley Benson would have a strong quarter as she score four consecutive Franciscan points, and nine points in the quarter. Lady Barons would fall 75-49.
