    The Franciscan Barons are scheduled to take on the Grove City Wolverines in the semifinals of the President Athletics Conference playoffs. In what is a highly anticipated matchup, the Barons will demolish the Wolverines and advance to their 8^th conference championship. The Barons currently hold a dominant seven game win streak versus the Wolverines going back to the 2018 season and will continue their dominance tomorrow.
    I caught up with the reigning PAC player of the year and undefeated junior, Maria Herrera, about what the team's mindset is for the upcoming match and what will be the biggest keys to obtaining success: "The team's mindset for the upcoming match is we need to go out there and play [Baron] tennis". Coach always tells us once we start playing [Baron] tennis we are unstoppable. We also have the mindset of pumping each other up, although tennis is mostly an individual sport having your teammates playing on the court next to you and even calling them out when they are three courts down is motivating. Knowing that you are not alone battling through the match is an amazing feeling." Herrera said. "I would say the biggest key to winning Thursday's match is high energy and intensity throughout both doubles and singles. Meaning we need to go out there and feel confident and energized throughout the whole match. If we keep our spirits up and have a positive mindset, we will secure the match on Thursday."
    Only a 5-minute walk from campus, come out and watch your Barons take down the Wolverines in one of the biggest matches of the year at Belleview Tennis Courts in Steubenville, Ohio on Thursday at 4pm!
