STEUBENVILLE - Today's make up game against Waynesburg wraps up regular season play. The Barons had already clinched the 2nd seed and will get a bye for the quarterfinals

Doubles
     In Doubles play the Barons only seceeded 5 games to the Yellow Jackets. The #1 pair of Maria Herrera and Olivia Colby won their match 8-1. Haley Davinsizer and Estelle Leon played at the #2 pair and won 8-4. For the first time this season freshmen Veronica Saunders and Margaret Vernau played together in the #3 pairing. Part of a talent packed freshmen class, these two defeated their opponents in a clean sweep.

Singles
    In Singles play #1 Maria Herrera, #3 Claire Cardie, and #6 Veronica Saunders all won in straight sets. #2 Kina Ehlers and #4 Haley Davinsizer each dropped only one game in their two set victories. Margaret Vernau rounded out singles play at the #5 spot. She defeated her opponent in two sets 6-2, 6-2. With the completion of today's match reigning PAC Player of the Year Maria Herrera completed an undefeated conference season in Singles and Doubles for the second straight year. 

Next Up
    This Thursday 10/13/22 Franciscan will host the semifinal match and face the winner of #3 Grove City vs #6 Saint Vincent. In the regular season this year, the Barons defeated Grove City 5-4 and Saint Vincent 9-0.
