How It Happened

Kylie Panizza and Emma Clow would respond for Franciscan with point of their own, and fellow freshman, Guiliana Biasutto added three points to end the quarter. The Barons would be trailing by nine after ten minutes. The Golden Tornadoes would go on to stretch the lead up to 14 points, but Franciscan ended the second quarter on a 6-0 run over the final four minutes to trail by eight at the break.

Lauren Arena scored a pair of quick buckets to start the third to get this one to within four points, but then the Golden Tornadoes responded with a pair of three pointers. After a Biasutto and one, the Barons would be trailing by just two with three minutes to go in the quarter. A 10-4 Geneva run would give them an eight point edge heading into the fourth quarter.
