Franciscan 4, Grove City 5
Doubles
   At #1 doubles,
Maria Herrera and
Olivia Colby remained perfect on the year. They won in a close match by a score of 8-5. Then at #3,
Jordan Beltavski and
Delaney Dawson battled hard but fell 8-6.
Claire Cardie and
Veronica Saunders linked up at #2 and dropped in a heartbreaker 8-7. That would give the Wolverines a slight edge as we headed into doubles play.Â
Singles
The top of the Franciscan lineup answered the call today, as they would win the first three matches to give them a lead at 4-3.
Margaret Vernau and Veronica Sunders would fall in straight sets at #5 and #6. Jordan Beltavksi won the opening set at #4, but they lost the next two sets to give the Wolverines the fifth and final point.
