Franciscan 0, Otterbein 9

Wheeling, W.Va. - Franciscan Men's Tennis kicked off the 2023 calendar year with a non-conference matchup against Otterbein at the Wheeling Indoor Tennis Center on Friday afternoon. 

How It Happened
     Aidan Palladino and Benjamin Sabol faired the best, as they battled to an 8-4 loss at #2 doubles. James Scanlon and Callahan Hecton dropped #3 doubles by a score of 8-1. Travis Mistry and Samuel Sabol fell in #1 doubles by a score of 8-0. The same six players that played doubles played singles with the visiting Cardinals winning in straight sets. 

Next Up
Franciscan will be on the road at Baldwin Wallace for their next match on February 25th. The Barons are in search of their first win all-time against the Yellow Jackets. These two teams squared off in the fall with the Yellow Jackets winning by a score of 8-1. Travis Mistry picked up the lone point at #1 singles in a three set thriller that concluded with an 11-9 win in the tiebreaking third set.
