Franciscan 2, Transylvania 7
Orlando, Fla. -Â Franciscan Men's Tennis made the trip to Orlando for their annual spring break trip. Their first match was scheduled for Monday morning, but due to rain it got moved to Tuesday afternoon at the USTA Center
Doubles
Franciscan was unable to get a point from doubles play in today's matchup. That being said the the #2 doubles pairing of
Aidan Palladino and
Benjamin Sabol showed a lot of promise. They battled in a back and forth match before falling in a tiebreaker by a score of 8-7.
Singles
The Barons picked up their two points for the bottom two singles matches.
James Scanlon picked up his first win of the season at the #5 spot by a score of 7-5, 6-4. Then
Leo Morella earned the win at #6 singles by a score of 6-4, 7-5.Â
Next Up
Franciscan will take on Roger Williams on Wednesday morning at the USTA Center in Orlando. The Hawks are coming of a conference runner-up season last year, and they hold a winning record this season through a handful of matches. These two teams have never played each other, but it looks like it should be a tough, non-conference test for the Barons.
