#4 Franciscan #, #5 Genvea #
Doubles
All three Barons' doubles teams came out of the gun taking the first point. The Sabol twins, at the #2 spot, continued to extend their lead and had a comfy 5-2 lead while the teammates on either side of them at the #1 and #3 spots were in battles. The top pair of Mistry and Palladino found themselves down 5-2 midway through doubles play. Their last meeting against Geneva's Guillembet and Smalley ended in a tight 8-7 (7-4) win for the Baron pair. Today, Mistry and Palladino fell to the Golden Tornado foes suffering only their third loss in conference this season. Benjamin and
Samuel Sabol finished business defeating their opponents 8-4. Scanlon and Hecton lost their early lead and fell 8-5.Â
Going into Singles play the Barons were losing 1-2.

Mistry took the frustration from losing in doubles play and dumped it all on Geneva's Smalley. Mistry jumped out to a quick and commanding lead taking his opponent in a straight set for the first set. Palladino faced off against Guillembet. The Geneva #2 hitter looked extremely comfortable and meticulously placed his shots. Palladino had to work overtime to return every shot and claw his way to a 5-4 lead in the first set, then dig deep and find a way to pull out a win in the set. After plyaing well and still giving up a small lead and the set, Geneva's Guillembet looked like he was starting to press. Guillembet was visibly hitting it harder sacrificing the excellent ball control he had in the first set. Aidan's returns were more controlled and he wasn't covering the entire court to track down balls. While the top two pairings duked it out,
Callahan Hecton was quietly and quickly winning his match. He took the first set in a straight set and dropped only two points in the second set.
Samuel Sabol was the next to finish his match. His victory grabbed gave the Barons a 3-2 lead in the team match. His brother,
Benjamin Sabol at the #4 spot dropped his match to bring the team match back to a tie.
Travis Mistry regained the lead for the Barons after closing out a close second set. His victory brought the Barons to within one point of winning the match.
Aidan Palladino happily obliged and closed out his second set to take the win and seal the victory for the Barons.
