How It Happened
The Barons finished their season at home against the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes. The teams dredged through unfavorable weather to get just one more game in before the year was done. It was cold, intermittent rain, but "Game On!" There must have been something in the air, because if you liked slugfests we saw a total of four home runs in today's contests between the two teams.
The Barons got behind early, and going into the bottom of the 5th, were down 7-0. Stephenson was walked after an extremely patient and high-quality at bat. Arnone followed her up with a shot over the left-center fence for her third home run of the season. Maxwell jumped on the gravy train and hit a single, but with two outs there was little chance to do much more. McDaniels was the final out of the inning after she cranked one to the right field fence, but Geneva's outfielder made a great play tracking the ball down.
The tornadoes put in two more runs before the end of the game and defeated the Barons 9-2 in 7 innings.

How It Happened
The Tornado bats go hot in this game.They hit two 3-run shots over the fence in the second inning, and a third solo homer. The explosive 2nd inning put the Barons down 12-0. This lead was insurmountable. The Barons held break for most of the remaining innings, losing those innings 7-3, but after five innings the game was called for the Tornadoes 8 run lead and the Barons were defeated in their final game of the year.
