Steubenville, Ohio - The Franciscan Women's Tennis team released their 2023 fall schedule, which consists of thirteen regular season contests before the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Tournament begins in mid-October. The Barons are entering their fourth season in the PAC and will be hungry to win a conference title, as their streak of six consecutive conference championships was snapped last fall.
The Barons kickoff the season on the road at Pitt-Greensburg, the reigning AMCC Champions, on September 1st. They will have to wait a couple of weeks for their first home match which will happen on September 16th in a non-conference matchup against Capital. The Barons will return to Saint Louis again this season for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Tournament. Their home, PAC matchups consist of Washington & Jefferson, Waynesburg, Westminster and Thiel, who will all square off with the Barons at the Belleview Tennis Courts.
The top six teams in the conference standings will make the PAC Tournament with the top two teams receiving a bye into the semifinals. The PAC Tournament will start on October 17th and conclude on October 21st. The winner of the PAC will represent the conference in the NCAA National Championship Tournament in May of 2024.
