Short Story: Franciscan places fourth among PAC schools at Bethany while youth make strides.

Race Highlights
Franciscan Women's Cross Country ran at Bethany on Saturday morning. The Barons placed 11th out of the 21 schools present, while beating several PAC foes.

Reigning PAC Newcomer of the Week, Lauren Dosch, led the way for the Barons with a 20th place finish in her first 6K race of her collegiate career. Her time of 24:42.6 was the fastest of all freshman, as she edged out Genevieve Ruth from Washington & Jefferson by nearly 11 seconds. 

Jessica Campbell placed 53rd with a time of 26:12.4. Annie Seida was right behind Campbell in 54th just two tenths of a second slower. A very impressive race for her in her first collegiate race. Teresa Meli made it three freshman in the top four finishers for Franciscan as shee placed 66th. Right on her heels was Rachel Hurley in 67th.

Franciscan will return to Notre Dame next Friday for the National Catholic Championship. The nearly, annually event will be the a massive test for the Barons among several of the best Division I, II, and III programs from all across the country. 

Kelly Roggensack Memorial Races
The Annual Kelly Roggensack Memorial Races will take place for the 16th time in its history, once again kicking off a busy Saturday on Homecoming Weekend. The races will begin at 8 am on October 7th, 2023, with the 1K Kids Fun Run followed by the 5K Run & 3K Walk at 8:20 am. Click here for more info and to signup
