How It Happened
Franciscan Swimming & Diving made the trip to Latrobe on Saturday for a PAC tri-meet against Bethany and Saint Vincent. The Barons would defeat the Bison for the second time this season, but they would fall to the host Bearcats.

Kate Kinst would be the first Baron to win an event, as she narrowly won the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:10.95. Janie Whatley followed that up with a win in the 100 breaststroke by eight hundredths of a second. Whatley would also win the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:47.80. The Barons earned second place finishes in both relays, as the Bearcats were able to win those and go on to win the meet.

Up Next
The Barons will now have three weeks of training to prepare for the PAC Championships. Grove City will host the PAC Championship, once again, on February 14th- 17th. The Barons are looking to improve off of their 5th place finish there last season.
