The Latest
- Franciscan took on Wooster on Wednesday night at Finnegan Fieldhouse. The Barons led early, but foul trouble piled on as the Fighting Scots prevailed by a score of 71-64.

- Caroline Reedy scored a career-high 23 points, and she pulled down 11 rebounds for her first double double of the season.

- Ilena Gonzales and Jazzlyn Melnyk scored 11 points each to reach double-figures.
 
Scouting the Celtics
- Carlow is 1-1 at the time of this writing, but they will take on Waynesburg Friday at 7:00 p.m. before taking on Franciscan less than 24 hours later.

- They opening up the season at Wooster in the Nan Nichols Classic. They took down the Fighting Scots by five points before losing to Fredonia by four. 

- Four different players average double-digit points, as they have scored 68.0 points per game as a team while shooting 80.0% from the free throw line. 
 
Melnyk Making Moves
- Jazzlyn Melnyk enters this game 12th in all-time scoring with 512 points. Raegen Stead '18 is 11th (515), as Melnyk looks to climb the ranks this season. Lacey Huck '15 is the all-time leading scorer with 1,344 points over four seasons in Steubenville.

- She sits in eighth with 293 rebounds on the Franciscan all-time list. Monica Dawyot '16 is one spot above her with 400 rebounds, and Lacey Huck '15 holds the all-time record with 853.

-Melnyk is 5th in all-time assists with 146 over her career. She is closing in on Gaby DeJesus '19 who is fourth all-time with 157. Monica Dawyot '16 holds the all-time record with 206. 

- She is also in the Top 10 in steals in a career. She sits in sixth with 109 and is closing in on Head Coach, Iliana Spoelman '16 (133) to move into fifth. Marian Weber '11 holds the all-time record with 161.
 
From Downtown 
- Franciscan made seven three pointers against Wooster. That is the most the Barons have made in a game since February 15, 2023, when they made eight in a win over Waynesburg.

- Five different Barons made at least one from beyond the arc. Caroline Reedy led the way with three made three pointers. Jazzlyn Melnyk, Ilena Gonzales, Moira Hughes, and Abbigail Jannuzi made one three point field goal apiece. 

Gonzales Keeps Climbing
- With 11 points against Wooster, Ilena Gonzales passed Gaby DeJesus '19 to now sit 17th all-time in scoring with 412 points. The Barons head to the 412, and Gonzales looks to pass Amy O'Keefe who sits in 16th with 425 points.
