The Latest
- Franciscan last took the court against Hiram on December 16th in a non-conference battle. The Terriers took a 15-point lead after the opening quarter and were able to hold onto it the rest of the way. Franciscan won the final three quarters with four players scoring in double-digits.

- Caroline Reedy, Abbigail Jannuzi, and Maria McCallen each scored 12 points, and Jazzlyn Melnyk scored 10 against their future, conference foe.
 
Scouting the Cougars
- Chatham won the PAC title last season and are off to an up-and-down start in the 2024-25 season. They last played on December 14th at La Roche where the Redhawks beat them by five, 56-61. 

- Five players are averaging greater than nine points per game. Ashlie Louden is leading the way with 17.0 ppg. The graduate student has scored 20+ points on three different occasions this season.

- The Barons are looking to snap a six-game skid against the Cougars, as they have not beat them since 2021. 
 
McCallen Has Been Money
- Maria McCallen leads the Barons at 17.0 ppg so far this season.

- The sophomore has scored double-digit points in six straight games, including 32 points at Grove City
 
Melnyk Making Moves
- With 10 points against Hiram, Jazzlyn Melnyk passed Hana Flanagan '14 to now be 8th in all-time scoring with 581 points. Cara Mitchell '10 sits in seventh with 653 points. Lacey Huck '15 is the all-time leading scorer with 1,344 points over four seasons in Steubenville.

-Melnyk is fourth all-time assists with 173. Abby Baierl '19 sits in third with 191 over her time in Steubenville. Monica Dawyot '16 holds the all-time record with 206. 

- She has climbed up to 4th all-time in rebounding with 465 rebounds so far. She is closing in on Abby Baierl '19, who is third with 496. Lacey Huck '15 holds the all-time record with 853.

- She is also in the Top 10 in steals in a career. She sits in sixth with 127 and is closing in on Head Coach, Iliana Spoelman '16 (133) to move into fifth. Marian Weber '11 holds the all-time record with 161.

Gonzales Tracker 
- She is 15th all-time in scoring with 486 points. Felicia MacGillivray sits in 14th with 494 points over her two seasons with the Barons.

- With a season-high six assists against Hiram, Ilena Gonzales became the 12th player in program history to reach 100 assists. She sits in 12th with 100 assists. In 11th, Emma Clow has 103 in her career and looks to get more as she returns to the team after studying abroad in Austria.
