Results

Highlights for the Women
  • In the first running event, Clara Symington broke her own school record in the 60m hurdles, as she qualified for the finals with a time of 9.60 seconds. In the finals, she broke it once more with a time of 9.53 seconds to place second. 
  • Symington also qualified for the 60m dash finals with a time of 8.50 seconds. Rebecca Bolster just missed qualifying by one hundredth of a second, and Lauren Arena placed 12th. In the finals, Symington placed eighth with a time of 8.56 seconds. 
  • Three Barons made the podium in the 3000m. Annie Seida placed second with a time of 11:43.96. Clara Gross was under 12 minutes in fourth, and MaryKate McCusker placed eighth.
  • Jessica Campell ran the fifth fastest time in program history in the mile, as she placed third with a time of 5:23.36. Claire Walters was just behind her in fourth, and Seida placed ninth.
  • Lauren Dosch ran in the 400m this week, as she placed second. Her time of 1:01.81 is the fourth fastest in program history.
  • Rebecca Bolster placed 5th in the 200m with a time of 28.08 seconds, and Symington placed ninth with a time of 28.47.
  • Kimbria Lance improved upon her school record in the pole vault while winning the event with a best run of 3.15m.
Highlights for the Men
  • Andrew Menck qualified for the 60m dash finals with a time of 7.34 seconds. Luke Tran and Raphael Blose just missed qualification with times under eight seconds. Menck improved upon his time in the finals, as a time of 7.28 seconds jumped him up into second place. 
  • Dominic Young placed eighth in the mile with a time of 5:17.44.
  • Ryan Ozymy was the lone Baron to win a running event, as he posted a time of 1:54.46 in the 800m. That is the fourth fastest time in program history.
  • Menck kept up his strong outing with a second place finish in the 200m. He was joined on the podium by his teammate Dwayne Gethard in fourth.
  • Seamus Sommers had his best collegiate finish, as he placed second in the 3000m with a time of 9:23.16. Thomas Dittmer and Eduardo Torres places eighth and ninth to pick up points. 
  • Nicholas Brass placed fifth in the shot put with a best throw of 13.56m to break his own program record. Raphael Blose and Tyson Smith Jr. placed 14th and 17th as well.
  • Alexander Blose placed first while breaking his own program record in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.25m.
Up Next
The Barons now have their focus set on the PAC Indoor Track & Field Championship. It will take place on Thursday February 22nd on the campus of Youngstown State University in the WATTS. At the moment, event times are TBA. The Men's team placed fourth last season out of the 11 competing teams, and the Women's team placed eighth.
