How It Happened
For the final home game of the season, the Barons welcomed the Thiel College Tomcats. The players organized today's game to be a special event. Today's double header was dedicated for Autism Awareness. To commemorate the special occasion, friend of the program Jack Dawson threw the games' first pitch.
The Thiel Tomcats took a 3-0 lead in the top of the 3rd.
Katie Fluharty tallied four strikeouts and did a great job keeping the Barons in the game. Thiel put up one more run in the 5th and two in the 7th. The Barons got on the board in the bottom of the 7th. Kozares led the inning off for the Barons with a single over the head of the second baseman. Clow followed her up with a single, and Benson doubled after Clow. Benson's double drove home Kozares.
