#4 Franciscan 1, #1 Allegheny 5
Meadville, Pa. - Franciscan made the trip up to Allegheny on Thursday afternoon for the PAC Semifinal. The Gators would get the better of the Barons today by a score of 5-1 to advance to the Championship on Saturday.
Doubles
  Â
Callahan Hecton and
Samuel Sabol were relentless, as they showed a lot of heart at #3 doubles. They would be trailing 5-2, but then would rally to win four out of the next five points to tie it up at 6-6. From there it was all Franciscan, as they would win the match by a score of 8-6. At #2,
Aaron Heinlein and
Christopher Yvars would be tied at 3-3, but then the Gators would make a move to gain momentum and win 8-6.
Travis Mistry and
Aidan Palladino would jump out ahead 2-0 at #1, but then the Gators would score eight in a row to take the match. That would give the Gators a 2-1 edge, as they would go into singles next.Â
Singles
  The Gators would keep up their momentum in singles, as they were able to pick up the three points needed to win. They would take the #3, #5, and $6 matches to earn five team points and earn the right to host the PAC Championship on Saturday. Grove City won the other semifinal on Thursday, as the top two teams from the regular season will meet in the title match.
