The Latest
- Franciscan hosted Bethany on Wednesday evening for their Coaches vs. Cancer game in Steuebnville. The Bison led by one at halftime but then made a run late in the third quarter to make some separation and close this one out by a score of 68-56.

- Maria McCallen led all scorers with 22 points on 8-11 shooting. Jazzlyn Melnyk added 13 points and five rebounds
 
Scouting the Tomcats
- The Tomcats are in search of their first win of the season, and it will be Senior Day for them in their final home Saturday contest of the season.

- The Tomcats gave Westminster a scare in their last game, as they scored 28 first quarter points to take an early lead before the Titans took back control and won. 

- In December, the Barons beat the Tomcats by a score of 77-59. Four Barons scored in double-figures.  Maria McCallen led the way with 20 points, Abbigail Jannuzi scored 19, Jazzlyn Melnyk 15, and Ilena Gonzales 14 points.

- Kayley Risser leads the Tomcats in scoring on the season at 11.6 ppg. Jensen Stehlik led the Tomcats in their last game with 15 points on 5-9 shooting from beyond the arc.
 
McCallen Leading the PAC 
- Maria McCallen leads the PAC in field goal percentage at 52.9% and is second in scoring at 19.4 ppg.

- The sophomore has now scored 20+ points in nine games this season, including four of her last six games. 

- McCallen is also among the Top 10 in blocks and rebounds per game in the conference.

Smooth Jazz
- Over her last four games, Jazzlyn Melnyk is averaging 12.7 ppg and 10.2 rpg, her best four-game stretch of the season. 

- She has also added 11 steals and 10 assists over the last four games, as she looks to finish out the 2024-25 season strong.
 
Melnyk Climbs the Ranks
- Jazzlyn Melnyk climbed to 6th in all-time scoring with 671 points, as she passed Madison Doan with her latest performance against Bethany. Sitting in 5th is Raegan Stead '19 with 704 points. Lacey Huck '15 is the all-time leading scorer with 1,344 points over four seasons in Steubenville.

-Melnyk just passed Lacey Huck '15 to now sit second all-time with 200 assists. Monica Dawyot '16 holds the all-time record with 206. 

- At Geneva, she eclipsed 500 rebounds and now sits 3rd all-time in rebounding with 539 rebounds so far. Marian Weber '11 sits in second with 629 rebounds over her four seasons. Lacey Huck '15 holds the all-time record with 853.

- She climbed into third with 147 steals now in her decorated career. Monica Dawyot '16 sits in second with 154, and  Marian Weber '11 holds the all-time record with 161.
