How It Happened
Franciscan Women's Swimming & Diving made the trip to Allegheny to compete in a tri-meet on Saturday. The Barons dominated the distance events, as they were able to beat Pitt.-Bradford and fell to Allegheny.

Gabrielle Lewis won the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 12:51.89. She won that event by nearly 20 seconds in a great showing by the freshman. The other Baron to win an event today was the veteran, Kate Kinst. The senior won the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:58.15. It was a close finish, as she won by just three seconds in the long event. Kinst also placed second in the 200 yard freestyle. 

Samantha Walton had a strong day with second place finishes in the 50 yard freestyle and 100 yard butterfly. Walton and Lewis teamed up with Avery Schmitz and Rachel Pergi to place second in the 200 yard freestyle relay. 

Up Next
Franciscan Women's Swimming & Diving return to action on December 6th. They will travel to Grove City to take on the Wolverines as well as Bethany, for a second time this season.
