The Latest
- The Barons dropped their first loss of the season in a heartbreaking 64-63 defeat against Penn State Altoona
- They trailed for the entire first half before a back-and-forth second half ended with the Barons holding the last possession down one
- After a chaotic final play led to a contested missed layup, the Lions escaped with a win
- Sawyer Butler led the Barons with 19 points, and Zach Oliver had a double double with 11 points and 13 rebounds
- The Barons will travel to Loretto to face St. Francis for their final yearly exhibition before the Red Flash transition to Division III and join the PAC

- Including exhibitions, St. Francis leads this long and storied matchup between these two teams 32-9, dating back to Franciscan's days as the College of Steubenville
- In the modern era, St. Francis has won all seven exhibition games dating back to the 2017-2018 season
- Before that season, the last time the two teams faced each other was in 1974-75
- The Red Flash are on an 18-game win streak over the Barons

Future Rivals?
- The matchup will have new life added to it, and could even become a rivalry, when St. Francis transitions to Division III next season and joins the PAC
- They will be a member of the PAC South and will play Franciscan twice a season
- St. Francis has dominated in recent years because of their Division I talent, but their move to Division III could level the playing field as they stop getting higher level recruits
- The first PAC matchup between the two teams next season will be on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2026

Big Time Butler
- He has scored 20+ points in 22 games so far in his collegiate career. He has scored 30+ points five times, including each of the first two games of the 2025-26 season.
- Sawyer Butler sits tied with John Holley '67 for 21st with 973 points on the all-time scoring ranks that go back to 1947. Above him are Walt Osborne '67 with 993 and Reg Wood '71 with 1,003
- Butler broke the program record for most free throws made by a Baron over the weekend. He sits at 279, passing Sean Hickey '22 who held the record at 267. 
- With 123 assists, he is now eighth in the all-time rankings.
- His 128 steals are the third most by a Baron all-time. Sean Hickey is second with 158, and Josh Zimmerman holds the record with 259. 
- His 25.2 points per game would be the highest ever single-season average by a Baron, and he is currently in the Top 20 across all of NCAA Division III in scoring.
