Barons Conclude Season with a 7th Place Finish at PAC Champs

How It Happened
In the 1650 freestyle, Katarina Antonov made another podium appearance, as she placed 8th with a time of 19:11.20. Kate Kinst was not far behind her in 10th to help the Barons pick up some major points in this event.

Avery Schmitz was the lone Baron to swim in the 200 backstroke, as she just missed making it to the evening finals with a 17th place finish in the prelims.

Bridget Bartosik got the Barons back on the board in the 100 yard freestyle, as she placed 11th with a time of 58.32 seconds. Sophia Gellener was not far behind her, as she placed 13th to tack on a few more points for Franciscan.

Emma Grojean placed 15th in the 200 breaststroke to boost the Barons point total. Faith Vande Hey just missed the evening finals with a 17th place finish in the morning prelims.

Jessica Stiles kept up the production for the Barons, as she placed 12th in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:50.02.

The final event of the championship was the 400 yard freestyle relay, and the Barons had a pair of teams. The team of Katarina Antonov, Bridget Bartosik, Sophia Gellner, and Kate Kinst placed seventh with a time of 3:53.58, just a few seconds off of the program record time. In 13th place was the team of Cecilia White, Rachel Pergi, Avery Schmitz, and Sydney McGee.

The Barons retained 7th place, the position they were after Thursday night's finals. Grove City repeated as Champions.
