On January 27^th, 2025, our friend Catherine "Kay" Kuzma passed away surrounded by her family.
 
Kay is often introduced and remembered as the wife of the great coach Hank Kuzma. Although factual, Kay was extraordinary in her own right. She had a strong sense of dedication to her family and the students she taught. Each year her and her family make the trip from Florida back to Steubenville to partake in the community "Kuzma Day". She loved sharing stories of all the times her husband brought home players needing help with school and the countless hours she spent tutoring and providing a sense of family for the young men away from home. That strong sense of family is apparent when you've seen her. With every step she takes she was always surrounded by her children with her grandchildren close in tow. Her devotion to faith and family are a standard that should be coveted by all.
 
We mourn the loss of a great friend but find solace knowing Kay has heard the words, "well done, good and faithful servant". She will be forever missed at Franciscan.
 
Kay will be buried with her husband here in Steubenville. Visitation will be this Friday from 3-6pm at Mosti Funeral Home in Steubenville, OH.
