Franciscan 1, Sweet Briar 6

Orlando, Fla. - Franciscan took on Sweet Briar for the first time in program history on Wednesday evening. This match had an added wrinkle, as they were able to play on the clay courts at the UTSA Center.

Doubles
   Anabel Stickney and Anna Glen fell 6-1 at the #2 spot. The Barons also dropped at #1 and #3 as Hazel Mistry, Elizabeth Swift, Helen Leon, and Julianna VanderPloog took the court for the Barons.

Singles
   Kina Ehlers was the highlight of singles play, as she won in straight sets at the #3 spot. Claire Cardie and Olivia Colby played some tough matches at the #1 and #2 spots. Hannah Franzone, Elizabeth Suess, and Lucy Rochat filled out the bottom three but fell in straight sets.

Next Up
    Franciscan will remain busy in Florida, as they take on Ithaca on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. This will be the first time that the Barons and Bombers square off. This match will be played in Cocoa Beach.
