    The Barons traveled on the road to face the Thiel College Tomcats in a PAC doubleheader. The Tomcat pitching was a tough hill to climb game 1. The Barons were struck out 11 times and only tallied 4 hits.

How It Happened
   Game 2 was significantly closer with better defense from the Barons. They blanked the Tomcats in the first inning, but allowed 2 runs in the second and 1 in the 3rd. They caught up and got to within one in the 4th inning. Winner led off with a single. Savage, McDaniels, and Cook all recorded hits which sent Winner and Savage home.
    They allowed three more runs in the 5th and could only muster one run in the 6th. After getting blanked in the 7th, the game ended in the middle of the 7th. 

At the Plate
-Winner was 2 for 4 with 1 run
-McDaniels was 2 for 3 with 1 run and 1 RBI
-Maxwell was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI's

In the Circle
-Starter McDaniels pitched 4.0 innings allowing 9 hits, 5 earned runs, and recording 3 strikeouts

Franciscan will finally play at home on Saturday, as they host Washington & Jefferson in a PAC doubleheader starting at 1:00 p.m. The Barons are in search of their first win over the Presidents since 2019. The Presidents are off to a good start in conference play with a pair of wins over Waynesburg.
