Steubenville, Ohio -Â The Barons took another step towards clinching a spot in the PAC Championship Tournament with a sweep of the Tomcats on Wednesday night at home.
Doubles
  Â
Aaron Heinlein and
Christopher Yvars won 6-1 at #1, and
Aidan Palladino and
David Bourdelais won 6-0 at #2.
Joel Capelli and
David Drejza registered a walkover win at #3, as the Tomcats did not have a #3 pairing.
Singles
   The Barons swept singles play as well. Heinlein, Yvars, Bourdelais, and Palladino earned their second wins of the day in #1-#4.
Jeremiah Greve won at #5 singles, and
David Drejza won in straight sets at #6.Â
  The Barons are now one of five teams in the PAC with four conference wins. One more conference win will officially lock up a playoff spot, as the #1 and #2 seeds earn byes into the semifinals and the #3 and #4 seeds host quarterfinal matchups.
Next Up
  Franciscan remains at home to take on Waynesburg at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Barons are 4-0 all-time against the Yellow Jackets and hope to climb to 5-0 with a win on Friday.Â
