Greensburg, Pa. -Â Franciscan Women's Tennis began the 2025-26 season with a non-conference test at Pitt.-Greensburg. The match was played indoors at the Greensburg Racquet Club where the Barons were able to sweep the Bobcats.
Doubles
  The Barons had a dominant start by sweeping doubles to take a 1-0 lead.Â
Kina Ehlers andÂ
Claire Cardie won by a score of 6-3 at #1 singles. The other two matches were clean sweeps by the score of 6-0.
Lucy Rochat and
Jordan Beltavski secured their first win as a duo at #2 doubles.
Sophia Pastura and
Colette Park were the Franciscan pairing at #3, as Park earned her first collegiate doubles win in her first appearance.
Singles

Claire Cardie had a back-and-forth battle at #1 singles. She secured the win in straight sets by a score of 7-6, 6-0.
Kina Ehlers was able to win with a little less stress at #2, by a score of 6-1, 6-0.
Jordan Beltavski won in straight sets at #3 by a score of 6-4, 6-3.

Lauren Schoenberger kept up the dominance with a straight sets win at #4 by a score of 6-2, 6-1.Â
Audrey Huckestein and
Elizabeth Swift made it a clean sweep for the Barons with straight sets wins at #5 and #6.Â
Next Up
  Franciscan will return to competition on Monday, September 8th with their home opener at the Belleview Tennis Courts. They will host Capital at 5:00 p.m. in a non-conference test. The Barons are 2-0 all-time against the Comets, as they have played them in each of the last two seasons. Last year, the Barons won by a score of 5-2 in Columbus. The Barons depth was on display in that win, as they won all the singles matches from #3 to #6 to secure the team win.
