The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced the Women's Cross Country weekly awards on Tuesday afternoon, and Franciscan had one player honored. Mary Worden (Fr. Fort Atkinson, Wis. / Fort Atkinson) was named PAC Newcomer of the Week.

Worden led the Barons with her second-place finish at the Fisher Invite on Friday night, which helped the Barons finish first out of eight teams. Her time of 19:06.4 is the eighth-fastest time in program history in a 5K race and second-fastest by a freshman in program history. All-American Claire Walters holds the program record time of 17:54.1, which occurred on the same course for the 2022 Fisher Invite.

This is the first time that she has earned a PAC Weekly honor. 

The Barons will not compete this weekend, but will return to action at the Bethany Invite on September 13th.
