Barons Beat Bearcats in Latrobe

Latrobe, Pa. - Franciscan Women's Tennis resumed PAC play at Saint Vincent on Monday afternoon. The remained perfect against the Bearcats, now 12-0 all-time with a 6-1 win.

Doubles
   The #1 pair of Claire Cardie and Kina Ehlers continued their strong seasons with a win by a score of 6-3 after a busy weekend in Saint Louis. Jordan Beltavski and Lucy Rochat won as well at #2. Maggie Gallagher was joined by a new teammate, Catherine Grubb, as they won 6-2 in Grubb's season debut.

Singles
   Ehlers and Beltavksi took care of business at #2 and #3. The three Barons at #4, #5, and #6 did not play doubles, but they brought success to the courts as well. Colette Park won at #4 by scores of 6-1, 6-3. Sophia Pastura won 6-0, 6-1, and Helen Leon won 6-3, 6-0 at #6.

Next Up
    Franciscan will resume PAC play at Grove City on Wednesday. The Barons are 9-7 all-time against the Wolverines, including a split last season. The Barons fell 5-2 in the regular season, but they beat them in the PAC Semifinal by a score of 4-3.
