How It Happened
Franciscan resumed PAC play at home against Westminster on Saturday. The Barons made a late run, but the Titans were able to secure victory.

The Titans came out on fire with seven straight points on 3-3 shooting, but the Barons were able to slow them down and score in an action-packed first quarter. Melnyk led the Barons wit four points in the opening quarter. Saez-Pedraza and McCallen heated up in the second quarter, as they led the way. McCallen scored eight of her 10 points in the 1st half in the second quarter. Saez-Pedraza was the catalyst on both ends of the floor by getting in the paint. Eight different Titans scored in the opening half, as they held a 41-28 lead at halftime.

The Titans were able to control the tone of the third quarter. They scored 21 points to win the quarter by eight and expand their lead. They led by as many as 25 points, but the Barons battled back in the fourth. Angelina Beath was a spark off the bench with six points, and Gemma Biasutto scored six as well. The Barons were able to cut it to an eleven-point contest, but the Titans held on to secure the win
