The Latest
- Last Monday, Franciscan fell to the Grove City Wolverines by a score of 7-0. Even with this loss, the Barons still have a standing of third place in the conference.
- After four conference matches, the Barons have won three of those four.
- Before the final conference match, Franciscan has four more conference matches to play.
The Presidents and the Griffins
- Last weekend, Washington & Jefferson College beat both Saint Vincent and Baldwin Wallace. The Presidents, who won against Waynesburg at a conference match, is now placed right behind the Barons, in fourth place in the conference.
- This season, Bella Graham and Austyn Paugh both lead their team with an overall record of 7-3 in the singles matches. Their teammates, Claire Loomis and Keiran Moorhead, lead with a record of 10-2 in the doubles matches.
- The Griffins played a PAC opponent, W&J, to start its season. The team fell to the Presidents on Monday, September 14th by a score of 6-1.Â
- In its most recent match, Seton Hill lost 7-0 to Millersville in the team's conference opener.
Rising Through the Ranks
- So far, Mila Esposito has a win-loss record of 4-1 in her singles matches, while her teammate Paige Mattle leads with a win-loss ratio of 6-2 in her singles and doubles matches.Â
- With world tennis scores of 26.81 and 27.15, respectively, Elizabeth Swift and Jordan Beltavski stay strong and consistent.
Special Notes
- Since 2010, the Barons have matched against the Presidents 12 times, winning nine matches and losing three.
- This is the first time that the Barons will match with the Griffins.
