GREENVILLE, Pa. -Â Franciscan women's tennis snapped a two-match losing streak with a 7-0 sweep over the Thiel Tomcats Monday afternoon. With the win, the Barons are now 7-3 overall and 4-2 in conference play.

Doubles
As it has been most of the season, the #1 and #3 pairings for the Barons were Jordan Beltavski and Colette Park at the top slot, and Paige Mattle and Hazel Mistry at #3. Both pairs won by a score of 6-0. For the #2 spot, it was Emily Hunter and Sophia Pastura, and the pair won 6-1.

Singles
Beltavski started the Barons out strong in singles, getting win at the #1 spot in singles, with scores of 6-0 both sets. Park followed, winning her sets by score of 6-1 and 6-0. Mattle played in the #3 position, and she won her two sets without conceding a single point. Mistry was in the #4 slot, winning by a score of 6-2 in set one and 6-1 in set two. Pastura followed, winning 6-0 in back-to-back sets. Esposito was the last to play in the singles round, winning against her opposition by a score of 6-3 in set one and 6-2 in set two.Â

Next Up
Franciscan will next compete Thursday afternoon at 4:30 PM, hosting Saint Vincent. It will be the team's Senior Day match, as seniors Jordan Beltavski, Hazel Mistry, and Elizabeth Swift will be recognized. The Senior Day ceremony will be held at the Belleview Tennis Courts at 4:15 PM.
