The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced the Men's Outdoor Track & Field weekly awards on Tuesday afternoon, and Franciscan had one athlete recognized. Joseph Rohde (Gr. Steubenville, Ohio / Steubenville Catholic Central) was named PAC Track Athlete of the Week.
Rohde headlined Franciscan's efforts at WVU's Marty Pushkin Invitational Saturday, as he broke the program record in the 400 with a first-place time of 48.45 seconds. That is also the top time in the PAC, third-fastest in the Great Lakes Region, and ranks 13th in Division III this season. Rohde was also part of the 4x400 relay team that placed second with a time of 3:27.08, which is also the fastest time in the conference and fourth in the Great Lakes Region this season.
This is the first weekly honor for Rohde, and the first for Men's Outdoor Track & Field since joining the PAC in 2020. The Barons have earned eight weekly honors during Indoor Track & Field over the years.
The Barons return to action at Cedarville on Saturday to compete in the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor Open.
