GREENWOOD, Ind. – Kate Kinst (Sr. Pittsburgh, Pa. / Fox Chapel), and
Avery Schmitz (So. Economy, Ind. / Hagerstown) were named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Swimming & Diving Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) formerly CoSIDA, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Kinst, a nursing major, earned this honor for the second year in a row. Schmitz, a biology major, earned this honor in her first year that she was eligible.
Each swimmer had to hold a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher while competing in 75% of the meets throughout the season to be eligible. Each honoree must be at least a sophomore athletically and academically.
As a team the Barons held an impressive 3.73 GPA during the 2025 fall semester.
