Steubenville, Ohio - The defending champions Franciscan Men's Rugby released its fall 2026 schedule, which consists of six regular season contests before the Allegheny Rugby Union (ARU) Tournament begins on October 31st.
The season gets underway at home against on August 29th with a preseason friendly. The regular season opener occurs the following Friday, September 4th, with a home contest against Christendom. After trips to Hillsdale (September 11th) and Xavier (September 19th), the Barons celebrate Homecoming weekend with a match against Robert Morris on September 26th. Franciscan's final home game is on October 3rd against John Carroll, and the regular season concludes October 17th at Slippery Rock.
Franciscan then shifts focus to postseason play. The ARU Championship Tournament will take place over the next two weekends. The Barons are in search of its sixth conference championship in program history and first since 2019.
The Barons hope to earn their way into the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Championship Tournament to defending its national title, which will run through November into December for the National Championship.
