The Latest
- Traveling to play Westminster and Waynesburg in back-to-back days during the middle of the week, Franciscan won both matches by scores of 5-2 and 7-0, respectively. These victories bring the Barons to third place in the conference.
- Colette Park, Hazel Mistry, Sophia Pastura, and Paige Mattle all won their two singles matches over the two days. Park, Mistry, and Mattle also won both doubles matches in that span.
- This will be the Barons' first home conference match since September 1, when the Barons defeated Geneva by a score of 5-2.
Watching Out for the Wolverines
- After four matches, the Grove City Wolverines started off strong winning all of them to come to a consistent record of 4-0. This brings the team to an overall standing of first place in the conference, leading the three-way tie over Allegheny and Franciscan.
- Last season in the conference semifinals, the Barons fell against the Wolverines by a score of 4-1.
Special Notes
- With its last win, the overall win percentage for the women rose from 80% to 86%. So far, the Barons have not lost a conference match.
- Losing 12 players from last season, Franciscan has still managed to maintain its conference standings this season.
