Franciscan University Barons Athletics

2023: Appeared and started in 8 games for the Barons. She batted .176 with 3 hits and 1 RBI. She was a rock-steady defensive player with a fielding% of .955 on the year. Her primary roles were a DP and 1B.

2022: McKnight appeared in 22 games with 21 starts for the Barons this season. She predominantly played first base. Her first career run was game 1 against Waynesburg on 4/30.

Prior for FUS: She was an All-Conference player for two years at Westmoreland County Community College (WCCC) before transferring to Franciscan University. Her team won the conference championship and lost in their final district tournament in their bid to advance to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) World Series. Alexis was the number four hitter for both her years at WCCC. In her last year she led the team in batting average (.560), hits (28) and RBI’s (23). She finished in the top fifteen hitters in the nation for the NJCAA in her last year at WCCC. 
In high school, Two-year varsity letter winner for Coach Bob Bowers at Peters Twp High School in McMurray, PA. Alexis played for Pittsburgh Power Jr. Olympic travel softball from 12U through 18+ and her teams won twelve tournaments and were runner up in six tournaments.

Personal: Daughter of Chris & Joyce McKnight ... Her favorite hobby is singing ... Upon graduation, she may return for her last year of eligibility or pursue a career in hospitality management ... Her patron saint is Gemma of Lucca.
