2023-24: She became the program leader in singles wins and combined (singles+doubles) wins in program history while being named PAC Player of the Year for the third straight season ... She went 19-7in singles matches with a perfect 8-0 mark in conference play ... In doubles matches, she went 17-7 with a perfect 8-0 mark in conference contests.
2022-23: Had a historic season as she was named PAC Player of the Year for the second season in a row ... She accumulated 20 singles wins, the most ever by a Franciscan player ... She held a 20-3 singles record with her lone dual loss coming in the last match of the season to Denison ... She held a 15-6 record in doubles play ... combined she held a 35-9 record, the most wins by a Baron in a season in program history.
2021-22: Herrera was the top hitter for the Barons this year in both singles and doubles play. She boasted a 14-3 record in Singles play including a 13-match winning streak and going undefeated against Conference opponents. In a 5-game stint of opponents Westminster, Grove City, W&J, Saint Francis (Ind.), and Hamline, Herrera had 6 straight sets and only lost a total of 8 points. In Doubles play, her record was 12-3 including an 8-3 win in the Conference Championship. Her successes earned her the PAC Player of the Week award on 10/4.
2020-21: Held a record of 6-4 in #1 singles play this season with a 5-2 record in PAC conference play ... teamed up with senior Ana Victoria Haddad in #1 doubles and had a record on 8-4 with a 6-1 conference record ... helped the Lady Barons with their first ever PAC Championship by defeating Washington & Jefferson, the defending champions ... played TCNJ in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
Personal: Daughter of Fernando and Adriana ... in her spare time she enjoys adventures with friends and hanging with my family/dog and eating tacos ... Why Franciscan? "Saw the opportunity to become to closer to God while playing the sport I love with amazing people supporting me in every stop of my journey." ... After graduation, she hopes to be coaching tennis and teaching at a high school ... her patron saint is St. Benedict.
