2024-25: Played and started in all 25 games this season. She led the team in rebounds (224), assists (75), steals (54), and minutes played (924). She played an average of 37.0 minutes per game, scored 24 three point shots, averaged 8.9 points per game, and recorded 9.0 rebounds per game. She had game highs of 19 rebounds against Geneva and eight assists against Carlow.Â
2023-24: Did not play in a game this year.
2022-23: Started in all 24 games for the Barons this season. She averaged 33.6 mins, 12 points, 7.8 rebs, and 3.1 assists per game. Melnyk led her team in points (289), 3pt made (44), 3pt% (31.2), rebounds (187), assists and assists per game (74, 3.1), and steals 63. She had a season-high 21 points in the home loss vs LaRoche on 12/10/23.
2021-22: Played and started in all 24 games for the Barons; Melnyk led the team and PAC in minutes per game with 35.9 ... She scored 8.8 ppg and had a team best 8 rpg for a total of 193 on the season ... Melnyk also led the team in assists and steals ... She scored a season high of 17 against Geneva in a game where she also had 9 rebounds and 6 steals ... Finished the season with 4 double-doubles including a game against Geneva where she had 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Personal: Daughter of Pete & Aqua Melnyk ... She is the second sibling in her family to attend Franciscan ... Why Franciscan? "I chose Franciscan University because this college is like no other. With an extremely welcoming and faith based community, this campus makes you feel at home. Franciscan allows me to be able to receive a great education, play the sport I love, and grow in faith and as an overall person." Upon graduation,I plan on working in some sort of management position ... In her spare time she enjoys working out and playing spikeball ... Her patron saint is St. Michael the Archangel.
