Beebe became the assistant coach for the Saints during the 1980-81 season. Ron was 23 years old and hailed from Westville, New York. He is a graduate of Westville High School and Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.
  Ron was employed by the Weirton Steel Division as a turn foreman in the combustion and fuel department. He was also a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.s. Army Reserves.
  Ron was chose by head coach, Mike Garan, to help with the Saints. He had previous basketball experience working as a basketball instructor at the Suffolk Sports Camp in Bayport, New York.Â
