Faith Journey: I had a big conversion as a senior in college while reading a book on Our Lady’s apparitions in the village of Medjugorje, Bosnia-Hercegovina, where I ended up going on pilgrimage and discerning a call to the priesthood. I was a Ph.D. student in spirituality at the Catholic University of America when I joined the friars in 2013. With the friars, I have ministered as a CCD teacher, worked in a parish assignment organizing an evangelization program, and volunteered at a center for the poor in Loretto, PA, and in an elderly care center with the Little Sisters of the Poor in Washington, DC. I finished my doctorate while a friar in 2015. Since then, I have taught a summer course on Franciscan spirituality at St. Bonaventure University in New York, and have been teaching classes in Mariology, Franciscan studies, and Christian morality in the theology department of the Franciscan University of Steubenville.
