Scott Greve begins his third season as the head coach for the women’s tennis team after serving as the interim head coach in 2017 and as an assistant prior to that.

Greve led Franciscan to a 16-6 season in 2018-19, the best season in program history. Franciscan won it’s third-straight AMCC Title under Greve and he was named the AMCC Women’s Tennis Coach of the Year. Franciscan completed it’s third -straight perfect season in the AMCC with an 8-0 record.

In his first full season with the Lady Barons, Greve led the team to a 12-7 season and back-to-back AMCC championships. FUS finished 8-0 in the conference and did not drop a set in AMCC action. The Lady Barons swept the first team All-AMCC honors and Greve earned Coach of the Year. Madelyn Conrad was named the 2017 AMCC Women’s Tennis Player of the Year.

Greve is also the head coach for the men’s tennis program after taking over  as the interim head coach in 2017 and being named head coach in 2018. The Barons have won seven-straight and eight total AMCC titles after completing the feat once again in 2019. The Barons have completed eight perfect conference regular seasons, three under Greve and he has been named AMCC Men’s Tennis Coach of the Year twice, in 2017 and 2018.

Between the two programs, Greve’s have 53 all-conference honors between first and second team singles and dobules.

Greve’s tennis background began in high school when he was a state qualifier on the Van Wert High School’s tennis team. In college, he played for one season at the University of Dayton.

Prior to coming to Franciscan, Greve was the assistant boy’s tennis coach at Lehman Catholic High School for two seasons. 

Along with his coaching duties, Greve is in his first year as the Director of Athletics for Franciscan. 

Greve is married to his wife Jill and has eight children ranging in age from 3-10 years old, several of whom play tennis as well.
