Dr. Alan Schreck has been coaching track and field (and oneseason high school cross-country) for the past 18 years on thegrammar school, junior high, high school and college levels. Healso coaches for the Steuben Striders, a summer youth track leaguein Steubenville. Dr. Schreck is an avid 5k runner, and has beendesignated a “Legend” (highest achievement level) anumber of times in the Franciscan University Worksite WellnessProgram. He also enjoys backpacking, camping and canoeing as anactive Boy Scout leader. He is a full professor of theology atFranciscan University of Steubenville, has served 15 years as chairfor the theology department, and is the author of 12 books in hisacademic fields  (Church history, Catholic doctrine andapologetics, Second Vatican Council).
