 Peter Rosaschi has been at the helm of the Franciscan men’s lacrosse program since its inception in 2013. The 2025 season will be his 13th year as Head Coach of the Barons.

The Barons had three players earn All-PAC honors in 2025. Joseph James was named to the Second Team. Dominic Miraglia and Nathaniel Carter earned Honorable Mention All-PAC accolades. James also earned his second NCAA statistical record, as he led the nation in points per game at 4.73 while battling some injuries this season.

The 2024 season was the best-to-date in program history, as the Barons earned 10 wins. Joseph James burst on the scene, as he led the NCAA in points per game with 7.35, as he rewrote the Franciscan record book one of the best freshman seasons in the NCAA history. He would be named PAC and ECAC Rookie of the Year under the tutelage of Rosaschi. He also became the first Baron to earn All-American honors, as USA Lacrosse named him Honorable Mention All-America. Gavin Cook and Richard Vale II also earned All-PAC honors.
 
The 2023 season started off amazing with the Barons holding a 4-0 record. They went on to win six games with five of those wins coming in non-conference play. Three players went on to earn All-PAC recognition with Samuel Marshall and Richard Vale II earning their second honors of their career. 

Under Rosaschi, fourteen players have earned all-conference accolades and two have won major awards from the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference. Jonas McCaig was named the AMCC Offensive Player of the Year and Jerome Harkins was the Defensive Player of the Year in 2018.
 
Franciscan picked up four wins in 2022, the most in a season since 2018. They picked up their first PAC win at Bethany in a thrilling overtime game.

The Barons went 1-3 in the COVID-19 shortened 2020 season. They earned their first win in over a year on their spring break trip at the University of Dallas. The Barons defeated the Crusaders by a score of 13-9.

The Barons joined the PAC in 2019, and they were not able to earn a win all season. Their closest PAC matchup came in their first ever conference matchup, as they fell to Bethany 11-9. They went 0-15 on the season.
 
In the 2018 season, the Barons won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference showcase in their final season the AMCC. Franciscan finished the year 6-8 overall and posted a 2-2 mark against AMCC teams.
 
As a team in 2018, the Barons set the program’s record for point (319), assists (127), man-up goals (36), man-down goals (5), and caused turnovers (161).
 
In 2017, the Barons set a program record with seven wins, finishing the year at 7-8 and earning the No. 3 seed in the inaugural AMCC showcase. The Barons went 2-2 in the AMCC. Franciscan set a program record with 199 goals. Following the year, Jonas McCaig and Joe Lomady were named as the first two all-conference honors for the Barons.
 
The Barons finished the year 20th in the nation for ground balls per game in 2016 (38.33) and McCaig ranked fifth in goals per game (3.91) and 12th in points per game (5.00). The Barons collected 112 goals on the year and 57 assists. Franciscan finished the year 3-8.
 
The 2015 season saw freshman Mark Hanlon finish the year 10th in Division III for faceoff winning percentage with an impressive 67% winning percentage (138-206).
 
Rosaschi brings with him 32 years of lacrosse experience. As a player in college, he was selected as captain in his senior year at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. For 11 years, Rosaschi served as a coach for Pawling Lacrosse in New York, a town program consisting of travel teams from kindergarten to high school level and was the president of Pawling Lacrosse for three years.
 
Rosaschi graduated with a BS from the USMMA at Kings Point and an MBA in finance from Long Island University. Rosaschi, his wife, Beth, and their six children reside in Steubenville.
