A three-year starter at quarterback for Steubenville High School, Zach Collaros helped engineer a dynasty, compiling a 41-1 record and leading Big Red to back-to-back state championships in 2005 and 2006.

Collaros rewrote the Steubenville record books, capping his incredible career with a senior season in which he ran for 2,550 yards and threw for 30 touchdowns. The Ohio Division III State Player of the Year in 2006, Collaros also made his mark on defense, where he picked off 14 passes (returning 6 for touchdowns) during his career. If that was not impressive enough, he batted .407 as a four-year starting shortstop for Big Red and was a two-time All-OVAC selection in basketball, where he averaged 19.8 points a game.

His legend only grew in college, where he came off the bench for an injured Tony Pike during the 2009 season and led Cincinnati to a 4-0 record. During his first full year as a starter in 2010, Collaros threw for 26 touchdowns and ran for another 4, earning First-Team All-Big East honors.

Following a short stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Collaros found a home in the Canadian Football League. Proving himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the league after a banner year with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2015, he begins a new chapter in his career this coming season, which will be his first with Saskatchewan.

While his playing career has taken him far from his home in Steubenville, Collaros keeps the Ohio Valley close to his heart. His charitable organization, The Zach Collaros Foundation, is dedicated to improving the lives of local children through fund-raising and community events, recently helping to donate $5,000 worth of school supplies to students at Harding Middle School.
