A partner in the law firm of Frankovitch, Anetakis, Simon, Decapio & Pearl, LLP, Michael G. Simon has been practicing law since 1990. He graduated from Youngstown State University in 1987 and the University of Dayton School of Law in 1990. He is admitted to practice in the state courts of West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania as well as the U.S. District Court; Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia; the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit; U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth District; U.S. District Court, Western District of Pennsylvania; U.S. District Court Southern District of Ohio; and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Ohio.Â
Simon has a diverse background in law, business, and real estate and has been actively engaged in those areas since graduating from law school. He has represented many business entities, both for profit and non-profit, in all capacities.
In addition to his law practice, Simon is an NFLPA certified contractual advisor and a certified athletic agent with the state of West Virginia. An active partner in Vantage Management Group (VMG) sports agency, Simon has represented a number of NFL athletes including defensive tackle Derek Wolfe, running back Rashad Jennings, and pro bowl tight end Travis Kelce.
Additionally, Simon has extensive experience in municipal governments. He has been the solicitor of the city of New Cumberland, West Virginia since 1993 and serves on the Weirton Board of Zoning Appeals.
A member of the American, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio Bar Associations, Simon currently resides in Weirton, West Virginia, with his wife, Lisa. They are the parents of three daughters.
