How it Happened

• The Hawks battled in the beginning of set one, as the score would stand at 7-5 advantage Franciscan. The Lady Barons would not look back as and 18-4 run would end the set. Renee Antonelli had 3 kills and an ace in the set.
• The Lady Barons would come out much better in set two as they jumped to an early 6-0 lead, including an ace from Sydney Riley. The Hawks would battle back slightly, but a Franciscan 11-0 run, including 3 kills from Monica Moore would be too much to handle for Hilbert.
• Set three would be the closest of the sets, but Franciscan would be in control the whole way. The Lady Barons held the lead at 12-5 after kills from Emma Birong and Julia Kelly. Monica Moore would add two aces and a kill down the stretch as Franciscanwould clinch the match 25-14

Inside the Box Score

• Caite O'Malley led the Lady Barons with seven kills, Renee Antonelli added six.
• Lauren Betar ended a great regular season with 13 digs, her 17th double digit dig game of the year.
• Emily Nutter had seven assists while Lauren Betar added four.

Comments from Coach

Hilbert is a little outmatched because their best player is hurt, so we try to focus on playing well, key areas and getting everyone chances. It was great to have Julia Kelly on the court and she played well! Caitlin did a good job in the middle, and overall as a team we served and passed well! We are focusing on preparing for the first round of the conference tournament at Altoona, the team is very excited!!!!
