Men's Basketball Travels to Westminster Saturday

STEUBENVILLE, OH- The Barons enter this game coming off their first win of the season 76-68 over Grove City College on Wednesday night at home. The quick turnaround presents another tough challenge in the Westminster Titans.

All-Time Series Against Westminster
  • Franciscan is 1-2 all-time against the Titans, with their one win coming last year in a 75-66 victory. Sean Hickey led the way for the Barons by scoring 20 points, while Joe Schriner added 16 points as well. Dylan O'Hara scored ten points in 18 minutes to lead the Titans.
  • Westminster is averaging 78 points per game in matchups against the Barons, while Franciscan has only put up 67 on average.

Scouting Franciscan
  • Franciscan is 1-1 in the early going of the 2019-20 season, each contest being against PAC schools
  • The Barons thus far have been led by junior Sean Hickey's outstanding shooting. He is currently averaging 23.5 ppg and coming off tying a career best 27 points in Wednesday's victory.
  • Seniors Joe Schriner and Matt Trent are averaging 10.5 ppg and 8.0 ppg in the early going. 

Scouting Westminster
  • Westminster opened the season with a one point loss to Defiance on the road, but they have followed it up with three home victories, their last being to #22 Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday 78-68.
  • Thus far the Titans have been led by senior Dylan O'Hara with 19.8 ppg, junior Isaac Stamatiades 15.5 ppg and 12.0rpg and Junior Daniel Ritter 10.5 ppg. Stamatiades dropped 21 points and 17 rebounds in their win Tuesday night against Baldwin Wallace.
