LATROBE, Pa. – The Franciscan men's lacrosse team dropped 22-3 decision to St. Vincent Wednesday afternoon in Presidents' Athletic Conference action.
St. Vincent jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first quarter before sophomore
Gavin Brown got the Barons on the board. Just as time was expiring in a 30-second penalty for Franciscan, the Barons completed a successful clear and Gavin buried his third goal of the year still a man-down to cut the lead to 5-1 with 4:12 to go.
The Bearcats rattled off three more goals in the first and held a 4-0 advantage in the second quarter to take a 12-1 lead into halftime.

Jonathan Lee won the opening faceoff of the third quarter and senior
Dan McCartney got the ball in his stick. The senior finished off his 27
th goal of the year to cut the lead to 12-2 with 14:48 left in the third.
St. Vincent closed out the quarter with a 7-0 run to push its lead to 19-2.
The Bearcats opened the fourth with a goal 2:50 into action before McCartney scored his second of the game to cut the lead to 20-3 with 11:48 to go. St. Vincent finished out the game with a pair of goals to seal the 22-3 win.

Grant McKeown made 22 saves in the game to set his career high.
Franciscan returns to action next Wednesday when the Barons travel to Westminster for a 4:00 pm PAC contest.
