NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Franciscan women's lacrosse team dropped a tough 18-1 decision to Westminster (PA) in Presidents' Athletic Conference action, Tuesday evening.
The Titans took control of the game early as they worked a 5-0 lead in just the first 10 minutes of action. Westminster added on as they pushed their lead to 13-0 at the end of the first half.
With five goals in the second, the Titans led 18-0 with 15:30 to play in the second half. After a Westminster turnover, Franciscan took over and completed a successful clear.

Grace Deegan took a shot that went wide but the Lady Barons won the race to the end line. Senior
Elizabeth McEntee got the ball to classmate
Carly McDonald who got Franciscan on the board with her 27
th goal of the year at the 8:02 mark.
Deegan had a chance just over three minutes later but her shot just hit the post. McEntee had the final shot of the game for either team as she put the ball on cage with just four seconds left but was stopped by the Titans goalie.
The Lady Barons were led defensively by senior
Elizabeth Jordan with three caused turnovers and six ground balls. Jordan is now two ground balls shy of the career record at Franciscan. Deegan won three draw controls for Franciscan.
Franciscan closes out the regular season with two games at home as the Lady Barons host Bethany (WV) on Thursday at 4:00 pm and Waynesburg on Saturday at 12:00 pm.
